Recession Proof Millennials - Part 1

We are joined by a Toronto mortgage broker, Matthew Shantz. Matthew has experienced tremendous success as a mortgage broker and has built a team that does $100 million in the mortgage business. What's unique about Matthew, though, is that he is not only a Millennial but also has trained, coached and hired over 20 people to work for his team. In this 3 part series, we discuss how millennials can position themselves with their employers to request a raise, how to understand your value to your company, and why your economic value matters. We also go through some limiting beliefs that Millennials have about money, and some fascinating stats on Millennials in the workforce.

For our financial planning topic I am combatting 3 myths around RRSPs.

Myth number 1: RRSPs are useless due to the tax on the back end.
Myth number 2: RRSPs are not as useful as a TFSA
Myth number 3: I can't save much so I am not going to use an RRSP

A Mad Monkey ,

Great up-to-date information for Canadians!

I originally found Millennial Money on TikTok and really enjoyed the informative videos there. Now that there’s a podcast, it’s even better! First two episodes are great, and I’m sure there’s more great content to come!

A little request - for some of us newer investors, it would be great to have a “for beginners” episode.

Thanks for the relevant information!
