A glowing obituary. Funeral plans. But investigators quickly became suspicious that Nicholas Alahaverdian faked his own death. They knew legal problems, including a rape allegation, were closing in on the man who made a name for himself as an advocate at Rhode Island’s State House. And two years later, on the other side of the Atlantic, international authorities claim they captured him. But the man going by the name Arthur Knight insists it’s a case of mistaken identity and that he is not the fugitive.
