    Don't start with an opportunity perspective. Determine where your business logic can apply to everyone else. If the product or service that you are offering is relevant to a traditional business, first start asking questions. Leading with the business opportunity can often put you into the bucket of preconceived notions of what it is.

    Use related topics of public concern that are relevant to lead into your business but make sure you are listening more than you are talking. Hear the concerns and let them tell you what their triggers are.

    In listening to the people in your networking groups you will speak with different businesses with different problems. If you talk to a restaurant owner, they might have time problems. If you talk to a contractor and they will talk to you about employee problems. Every business has issues and you can use those as a segway into the solutions to those problems your type of business provides.

    The most important thing however is finding that need, developing that relationship by listening and asking questions.

    In these environments you are a potential prospect for them. Choose to do business with the relationships that you have developed. The groups are very reciprocal and if they are not your ideal prospect they might be willing to refer you someone who is.

    How do you get them to a presentation?

    Make sure you don't ruin your opportunity while setting the appointment. Don't explain in order to convince them to attend. By doing this you provide information for preconceived notions to be developed. Instead just break down the logic behind the business model.

    What is the best advice you have been given over the years?

    Be resilient, continue to personally develop. Tie yourself to your why. But remind yourself it's going to take resilience.

    When you first approach someone your goal is not to sign people us right away.

    Approach people with the pure intention of becoming a friend and you will be amazed what happens.

    Why is this person messaging me?

    examples:
    I noticed you posted about ... in your news feed
    I noticed you have a maltese I also have a maltese (dog)
    I liked the comment you put on this post

    Get Personal
    Always put the persons name in the message

    End with a Question so you can Keep the conversation going
    What do you do? (unless they are clearly showing what they do on their profile)
    Use common sense and be aware to make sure your approach makes sense.

    What are some of the mistakes people make?
    Don't over promote your company all over your profile.
    This is an immediate turn off because it shows the person you are trying to prospect that you are only interested in building your business.

    When you share posts on Facebook share things that your idea business partner would find valuable.
    examples:
    Inspirational quote images
    Good business quotes

    Rule of Thumb:
    If you can take the message and copy and paste it to a bunch of people it is not nearly personal enough.

    Signs you are too busy:

    You often are forgetting things like your keys
    You get frustrated and short with loved ones
    You can't sleep because you are worried about all the stuff you need to get done
    Headaches tense muscles
    You're just not happy

    Suggestions

    Sharpen your saw before you cut down the trees.
    Don't forget to stop and take time to do the things that attracted you to a business like this.
    Don't waste time doing things that don't matter. Abandon the "busy" myth.  Where are you spending your time? The average american spends 5 hours watching TV everyday.

    Get passionate about what you are doing. Remember why are you doing what you are doing. Find the time from wasted areas.

    Truly live by your highest priorities.

    Never cut quality time from you family.  Your family is what keeps your love tank full which allows you to reach your highest potential. If your love tank is empty you will never reach what you are truly capable of.

    Learn from someone who already knows how to do it and just do what they are doing.
    Find someone who is coachable.
    Teach them something that duplicates very quick
    With technology these days you can get a lot of people using an effective system and things can happen fast.

    What type of systems should leaders put in place for their teams in order to be successful?

    Anything you would do one on one (master the little things)

    how to invite someone to a presentation through excitement and enthusiasm.
    Get them in front of a person that has success
    that might mean finding that person who is documented  a get them to do every single video that you would do one on one.
    build relationships by listening, find what they want out of this, instead of telling them that you want them to do something.
    design a simple game plan to get them what they want.

    The simple metrics to track

    How many people's interest did you peak today
    How many did you get to watch a video
    How many people did you get to make a decision about their level of commitment (try the product, become a part time or full time business builder )

    Don't just get people into your business and abandon them. This is the most crucial step. It is so important to get your new reps their first check. The first check is so powerful because it let that person know they can do it. It gets them addicted.

    You have to humble yourself and ask for help.

    Find a mentor that has walked the path that  you want to walk.

    You don't have to learn every skill, you just need to start with the ones that get results.

    Work hard and work until the job is done
    Make your new members feel like they have a plan to be successful the first minute they start working
    Use the company critical activities and keep it simple
    Give them an opening invitation script for their warm market that is easy to say to anyone they know.
    Don't teach the whole comp plan, just stick to the invite and help them master it first.
    Give them examples of how you do it and let them adapt it to their personality.
    Make the first step so easy that its hard not to do it properly.

    When you are asked a question, don't answer it. Point to a third party tool or Three-way a leader in. Just don't answer even simple questions you think you can easily answer. If you do answer that question, it makes your prospect think that they need to know how to answer every question before they too can be successful in the business. So don't answer the questions the way you feel like you should. Simply point them to the answers that are provided. Remember that you start teaching your new member that the process is easy and duplicatable from the moment they become your prospect.
