Not A Podcast ASOIAF Re-Read Podcast

This podcast goes incredibly deep chapter-by-chapter exploring all of the themes, characters, foreshadowing, politics, etc. of the series. I have learned so much about the series from listening to this podcast that I hadn’t noticed before.

What the host have to say is thoughtful, perceptive, and this is a great expansion and analysis of the series. I have a huge amount of trouble listening, however, because the hosta are just reading pre-written scripts word-for-word. It makes it hard to care or pay attention. I cannot turn up the speed high enough to make it aound like natural speech. This medium is not for robotic reading. It's for conversational exchanges. For the love of god, write bullet points and speak like human beings

I used to listen to this regularly and was even a Patreon supporter for awhile. But ended up only listening to it once I awhile. Emmette’s breakdowns and insights are amazing. But I just find the other host Jeff to be too much to take for more than 5 minutes. With his constant use of profanity and over animated way of speaking, he really comes across as if he has an anger problem.

This podcast is fantastic. Has given me a new outlook on rereads and inspired me to read more Into everything ASOIAF! Guys do a great job!
