While Matt and Jordan are awesome podcasters, I find that at times they become too biased and don’t look at objective facts. Listening to a podcast which heralds certain players subjectively (Markkanen), while dismissing the talent of better players is frustrating. Saying they prefer Markkanen to be on the all-star team while also admitting that instead a player like Lavine is the more likely candidate is showing a bias for one unproven player and forgetting others. It would be better if Jordan and Matt could stab bantering on potential and look through an objective lens when evaluating talent.
While we all have our inclinations towards players, the narrative that Zach Lavine is a disposable player is further amplified in this podcast because his talent which has shown results is constantly compared to unproven potential (a month of good basketball by Lauri is too small a sample size). It would be nice if these two players could at the very least be analyzed with regard to output on the court. Their bandwidth of talent is not as wide as people like to assume.
