An incredible amount of research and thought goes into these super interesting and fun podcasts. I love the hosts’ dynamic. I do wish they would interrupt each other less, but otherwise it’s perfect!

When you want a insightful, fun show to dive deep on a fandom you love and want to share with others there is no where better to go

on the latest episode (rings of power episode 5 deep dive) the audio was much too low. I had to run my earbuds at max volume to even hear anything.

I mean, I would normally say “The Joan Didion and Sydney Sweeney of Podcasts” in that Mal & Jo are so high and lowbrow in any given instance, so literary and so pop the next, and so sage and so stunning in their cultural lore…but this is the internet where incels review bomb them because they dare to mention that dragon shows are kinda feminist. So, let’s just go with two white dudes as their proxies while we all secretly cackle to ourselves when they drop 4hr deep dives into Criston Cole’s PTSD.
