I absolutely adore Phoebe Reads. Arsène Lupin is one of my favourites. These audio stories have made many a long day pass well. Through migraines and post COVID fatigue and fibromyalgia brain fog, Phoebe Reads has kept despair away. P.S. A little preemptive research would do great honour to the hours of excellent reading. Eg. In Arsèhe Lupin, the pronunciation of the character Victoire is "Vitwar" or "Viktwar", but certainly never "Viktore". Again, thank you.

That Phoebe started this podcast in the early days of the COVID lock downs in North America saved me. I listened every morning, appreciating the nostalgia of the early selections and never felt alone because of it. Much appreciation that it continues!

Season 21 is not being narrated by Phoebe! Phoebe you are the reason I listen. You could read the phone book and I’d listen just because it’s your voice! I’m not saying the new narrator is bad. She is fine even great. But she is not you.

This podcast is like listening to my parents read me books in bed. Thank you for the feeling of security and love.

Ok this will sound insulting at first but wait for it. Phoebe puts me to sleep. Every night since I’ve discovered her Podcast through the wonderful Otis from Sleepy podcast (I think it was though him, I listen to many sleep podcasts 😬) I’m an insomniac, very few things work for me so I usually have to alternate from one thing to the next. Nothing has worked like Phoebe’s voice but it’s more than a voice. It’s the perfect balance of everything. The way she reads, the book choices and for me personally, the fact that there’s no background music or sound. I feel as if she lets me into the magic or the book as soon as she starts, and the comfort it brings has me slowly drift away after only a few pages. La Mystérieuse Affaire de Styles (sorrry Im French 🤭) is one of my favorite books cause it was the book that had me hooked on all Agatha Christie’s work when I was only a child. To have it read to me at night in that fashion is nothing less than a dream... Thank you so much!!

Thanks you for featuring The Leavenworth Case – can’t believe I’d never come across it before. Terrific mystery literature selections! My only critique would be that it’s hard to navigate to older recordings and listen to them in sequence. May I suggest to the reader that she collate chapters and re-issue them as YouTube readings for each non-copyrighted book (with a rewarding revenue potential). I think there would be an audience.
