We give our winners and losers of the draft

We give our winners and losers of the draft

Caleb Williams was the sure #1 pick in this year’s draft. What have The Bear’s front office done the last couple of years to give Williams the best chance to succeed in Chicago? (00:00:00-00:04:21)
We talk winners of the draft, starting with the Eagles. Did the Eagles fix their defensive woes of last year with the cornerbacks they drafted with their first 2 picks?
The Steelers invested heavily in their offensive line and all three levels of their defense. Could the Steelers be a true contender next year?
The Bears spend their remaining 4 picks on key role players that should contributors as soon as next year. How will they complement the offseason changes the Bears have made over the last couple of years? How did the Bear’s division rival Vikings fair in the draft? (00:04:21-00:19:00)
The Falcons, The Browns and The Cowboys lost the draft. Can we make any sense of the Falcons drafting Michael Penix?
The Browns did not have the picks to succeed in this draft. Regardless, we give our thoughts on how Cleveland handled their late picks.

Our thoughts on the first two days of the draft

Our thoughts on the first two days of the draft

The first round of the draft set records for the amount of QBs taken. Who do we think will be the best of the first 6 drafted? Who do we think could be the worst?
Offensive lineman also shine in the first two rounds. Is this a fluke or are teams valuing the position more?
The last position stealing the show are the wide receivers. Most notably, the position has gotten much bigger than in the past. How are WRs so fast despite the size increase and what does this say about today’s game? (00:00:00-00:11:48)
On the flip side, running backs, cornerbacks and linebackers are sparse in this draft. Why is this position devalued this year? Does this indicate a change to the game and the mentality of GMs moving forward?
We finish up by each giving our best pick of this draft, regardless of position. Who do we think could turn out to be the best player in years to come? Who do we think could be the worst? (00:11:48-00:22:31)

What are our thoughts on the stacked lineup of Wide Receivers in this year’s draft? Who are the top 5 receivers available? How many WRs do we expect will be drafted in the first round? (00:11:52-00:17:11)

Defensive backs/safeties and running back are NOT so stacked in this year’s draft? Is it possible that there are no first round picks for these positions? If there are, which defensive backs and/or running backs do we see being taken in the first round? (00:17:11-00:26:33)

The best college QBs are not always the best QBs in the NFL. More often than not, players that lead their teams to the college football playoffs are not drafted in the first round. Dan and Dave give their thoughts on this. (00:026:33-00:31:00)
