Rick Bowness on The Cam & Strick Podcast

The Cam & Strick Podcast

On this episode, the boys are joined by recently retired and long-time NHL coach Rick Bowness. Many probably know him from his final 7 years spent between 2 competitive central division teams the Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars, but he’s been an active NHL coach for FIVE DECADES. He began his career with the original Winnipeg Jets as an assistant in 1984, and then as a head coach for Ottawa and the New York Islanders in the 90s. He talks about stepping down last season and Winnipeg’s insane start, stripping Blake Wheeler's captaincy, young Kucherov and much more. Before the interview, the boys get into Alexander Ovechkin not slowing down, an under-the-radar team Canada defenseman, Winnipeg's expectations given their current hot run, and more.

Interview Starts 1:45:22
