In this episode we look into an alarming scam trend: people who lie about where they were on 9/11. It’s a lie that ties together a volunteer firefighter seeking attention, an immigrant trying to fit in, a comedian looking for his big break, and even someone seeking the White House. They’re exploiting national tragedy for sympathy and clout. But with a lie so easy to disprove, what can they really hope to gain?

Fun but misinformed

The podcast itself is fun but sometimes the lack of knowledge or context is frustrating. Especially when it is non English sources of cases

Great podcast!

I love this podcast! The chemistry between Scaachi and Sarah is fantastic. The stories are interesting. I’m also very happy to support two Canadian women of colour.

Mixed Feelings

I’m torn because as I have been binging, I enjoy the storytelling content a lot. I’m mixed in my review because while I love the concept of this podcast, and the delivery for the most part, I don’t appreciate the racist undertones or the man hating that is often present.

Also, I feel that sometimes the strong opinions expressed by the hosts come across as immature and sheltered life viewpoints.

I’m sticking it out for now in hopes that things improve, because I do enjoy listening for the most part.
