Scott’s Most Excellent Podcast: Valuable Psychological Insights Available

I’ve been listening to Scott’s podcast for a few years now. I’m impressed by his guest line up and the numerous topics they cover. I drive a lot for work, Scott and his guests are my constant companions while I’m on the road. I have a degree in psychology, so in a sense I am continuing my education through this podcast. I love to learn, especially about psychology, so this podcast makes me extremely happy! Thank you! Tracy L. FIllion
Good show/one terrible guest

The host is good, most episodes are very insightful, but honestly the episode with Shane Parrish turned me off from this show. I have never heard such a pompous person get off on how well they work while blissfully ignoring their privilege. Some great quotes "We're too soft on kids today" and "...Elon is wired differently". It was very tone-deaf, especially for a 'psychology' podcast. And the host just fed into this person's ego instead of talking about anything related to psychology. I know it was for the host's selfish benefit, aka "this person is good to know", but that was a very disappointing episode - to the point where I am writing my first review recommending others to stray from that episode/or to find a more appropriate podcast if they are wanting to learn about psychology.

I’m very greatful for Scott and I believe he is doing a valuable public service because I can tell his intentions are genuinely sincere and altruistic. He aims at both strengthening the individual and society as a whole. His work deeply resonates with me on a very personal level. In the context of building happiness as in life satisfaction and purpose I’ve learned that it’s best to focus on improving the relationships in your life and if I recall correctly he was the first person I heard speak about high quality connections(HQCs) learned hopefulness and a growth mindset. His podcast is one of my absolute favourites and I really appreciate how humble he is and willing to give others credit. He’s very good at bringing people together and networking among his academic peers. I believe he’s going to continue to have a major positive impact in the present and future generations and leave a lasting legacy that’s going influence others just like the highly formidable legend Maslow.

Nice that you managed to squeeze Joseph Goldstein in between all those ads and promos. Sheesh.
