    April Astrology Forecast 2025

In episode 484 astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock look at the astrological forecast for April 2025. April see the continuation and eventual conclusion of many of the alignments that started in March, with the effective range of the Aries eclipse extending through the first week or so, and then Mercury and Venus wrapping up their retrograde cycles and stationing direct in the second week of April. The second half of the month becomes intense when Mars moves into Leo and forms an opposition with Pluto, with that energy peaking around the fourth week of the month. We spend the first 90 minutes of the episode talking about the astrology of news and events that have occurred since our last forecast, and then in the second half we transition into talking about the astrology of April. Saturn-Neptune Conjunctions in History

In episode 483 astrologers Chris Brennan and Nick Dagan Best discuss what happened in the past when the planets Saturn and Neptune form conjunctions every 36 years, and how these alignments often coincide with important turning points in history. We spend the first three quarters of the episode going through the seven most recent Saturn-Neptune conjunctions in history in detail, starting with the 1989 conjunction and then going backwards in 36 years increments to 1952/3, 1917, 1882, 1846, 1809, 1773. In the last part of the episode we highlight recurring themes that have come up across multiple conjunctions, and extending our study all the way back to the year 500 BCE. By looking at conjunctions from the past we hope to get a better idea of what the current Saturn-Neptune conjunction means, which is forming in the sky now in 2025 and 2026. Mars Retrograde in Cancer in US History

In episode 479 of The Astrology Podcast, astrologers Chris Brennan and Nick Dagan Best delve into the repeating historical patterns underlying Mars retrograde in Cancer periods, specifically within the context of United States history. During the course of the episode we explore how these retrogrades, which occur roughly every 15-17 years, coincide with significant events and recurring themes in American history. By examining past instances of Mars retrograde in Cancer, our goal is to provide perspective on current events and potential future developments. The discussion begins with an explanation of the Mars retrograde cycle and its unique characteristics, including its varying durations and the signs it retrogrades through. We emphasize the importance of looking at the entire period Mars spends in Cancer, including the time before and after the actual retrograde station, to fully grasp its impact. After that we proceed to discuss the specific dates and degrees of Mars retrogrades in Cancer, starting with the year of the US Constitution's ratification and moving forward. In particular we highlight the 79-year repetition of Mars retrogrades in Cancer, which is based on the Babylonian Goal-Year periods, and how it aligns with important turning points in American history. We also note the shorter 47-year and 32-year repetitions, which coincide with other planetary cycles. During the course of the episode we explore the themes that emerge during these Mars retrograde periods, including important turning points related to immigration, civil rights, and economic shifts. The episode concludes with a reflection on the potential implications of these historical patterns for the present and future. Experiential Astrology and Astrodrama

Episode 478 features and interview with astrologer Jason Holley about Experiential Astrology, which is a dynamic approach that attempts to embody the symbols of astrology through creative and interactive methods, including making the chart come alive by acting it out in a group setting with Astrodrama. Experiential astrology has its origins in some of the experimentation with different psychological methods that were happening in the astrological community in the 1970s and 80s, and Jason highlights the work of astrologer Barbara Schermer in particular. Jason defines Experiential Astrology as engaging with astrological symbolism through multiple intelligences and perceptual faculties, including somatic, sensuous, imagistic, instinctual, kinesthetic, expressive, and relational. This approach emphasizes the full-consciousness experience of astrological symbolism, moving beyond conceptual understanding to a felt, lived experience. In the discussion we focused on one particular application of Experiential Astrology known as Astrodrama, which involves a group of people standing around and acting out a person's birth chart, and we discuss some of the different ways that this can be done.
