Plus, as Barcelona win the Liga F title, Laia Cervello Herrero tells us how they’ve built one of the best teams in Europe despite no domestic competition and how far off second place Real Madrid are from the Catalans.

Offside Trap WSL Edition rocks!

As a longtime supporter of Canadian women’s football (#Canwnt), I’ve only just started appreciating the energy and quality of the WSL - from here in Ottawa. One of my recent discoveries is this wonderful, high quality podcast covering the League with intelligence, knowledge, and humour.

I’m devastated to have just learned about the suspension of production! Let me assure you all - hosts, producers, and potential sponsors: there is a vast potential market for women’s football and WSL specifically. But that potential may depend crucially on the independent but professional production of podcasts such as this one for it to grow. Sponsors that recognize this, and get in to support this kind of media, will gain much respect and recognition for playing a key role in building this game. I greatly hope the quality of this podcast is recognized and sponsorship deals are reached quickly.

I look forward to the rapid return of Offside Trap WSL edition.
