Hope all the info and it’s on what to do what not to do are all factual, best practice, and current up to date since change can happen frequently whether it be with technology, infrastructure, research, etc..
I live in Alberta, Canada and when forest fires ravaged the city of Fort McMurray and surrounding areas, a massive emergency evacuation had to happen, literally ASAP or the worst of the worst would happen and it would become an emergency rescue mission. Living in the closest major city , Edmonton, which was 5 hours away, that evening our city began to prepare for the influx of people, creating another emergency preparation for helping the incoming.
So even if it’s not an earthquake, preparation for an emergency is vital and planning ahead will ensure you aren’t in the aftermath and you later say you had no idea what to do and was not prepared.
And if you think about it - you might be like Edmonton was, safe and not affected by an emergency event - but soon to be the closest available safe spot and suddenly your city needs help to accommodate, organize, fees, direct, move, help, and keep safe. So heads up! Plan ahead and prepare! This includes informing yourself and those around you!!!
