Not a Wesley Morris fan
I love the show and have been listening since 2020 religiously. I find that when Wesley is on it takes the air out of the conversation..he overtakes the conversation but doesn’t add effectively to it. The recent alternative Oscar episode I had to stop after the first 15-20 minutes because I felt like he was taking all the fun out of it..he doesn’t seem to like the Oscars or many of the front running films..so why have him there? Sean and Amanda clearly value his opinions, but often they don’t align with their own, so Wesley goes on long rants that don’t really lead anywhere I find… I’m sure he’s an effective writer, but I’m generally finding when he guests here or Rewatchables I skip it. Sorry!
What happened to this podcast?
All I want is a thoughtful convo about the movies they promise to talk about. Why are they talking about baseball? Lately they have talked about the movie for 20mins and go on weird tangents about nothing. I did love this podcast but it’s going downhill. Please PLEASE stay on topic.
Lost potential
This could be a 5 star rated podcast if the bickering hosts stuck to talking about movies. Listening to Amanda Dobbins yammer on about her child every single episode is more boring and grating than having to watch song performances at the Oscars. Thanks to other reviewers leaving alternate movie podcast recommendations. I’ll check them out.
P.S.: “Brooch and broach: they differ in spelling enough to look distinct, but their primary pronunciations are identical—both rhyme with poach.”
