So authentic and real, I couldn’t help but get pulled in by Anthony and Karen’s relationship and the way Anthony delicately handled Denise’s (and honestly all the voices on this podcast’s) story. Life is messy and imperfect and this podcast poignantly depicted how a tragedy can impact a family and the complexity of love and pain interwoven through it all. This story is emotional, tragic, beautiful, and genuinely represents the human experience. Well done.

A lot of Binge podcasts are like this one: over-excited hosts relying on mostly on the words of one witness. There’s no backup evidence like audio clips, news reports from the time, police spokespeople, etc. It’s not journalism, it’s a scary story for entertainment. That’s fine, but it should be described accurately.

I’ve listened, watched, read a hell of a lot of true crime. Which I’m not sure is a good thing, but this one was the first to make me a little emotional. The relationship with Karen and how it ultimately ended was surprising and heart wrenching.
