Theo Hayez is missing in Byron Bay, a beautiful beachside town on Australia’s most easterly mainland point, frequently in the spotlight for its famous residents. Theo's from Brussels. I thought this was riveting as the podcaster took us along on the journey of exploring every possible scenario. I was fascinated to learn they could follow along his path and know when he was walking and when he was running. At the outset, we’re told that the podcast is an attempt to garner as much information as possible to help solve the mystery. Some reviews were negative, not ‘entertaining enough’ for them I suppose, but every moment of it, I was thinking of this poor family, and how I would feel in their situation, and how grateful I would be if someone was going to such lengths to question everything and follow down every possible lead.
First couple of episodes were good then...

I have lost so much time listening to randomly edited dialogue about google tracking. No one has interviewed anything with substance. Homeless guy in the middle of the forest’s solar light, (yawn) taking about why he moved from the big city. Vines/brush up off the edge of the beach where he was apparently there, and everyone but an authority of the google tracking discussing the field or path. Honestly, poorly written and edited. The investigation is clearly done by amateurs and the end likely will be that the poor lad was taken away in the tide.
Thought it was great...until

Episode 4. The kid screaming helplessly. The audio played at the beginning of the episode. No warning, no context. It really got to me. The poor boy was in serious distress. It disturbed me so much that I don’t want to listen again. Where was the warning before that was played?
