Canadian Households Need to Adjust to Higher Mortgage Rates - w/ guest Doug Porter
We are joined by BMO's chief economist Doug Porter. The Bank of Canada will cut, probably in June. Don't expect bond yields or fixed mortgage rates to budge. Inflation is nearly defeated in Canada but not the US. Weak investment in Canada to continue with capital gains increases.

Canada is A Great Country?
Listening to your podcast I have a lot of trouble buying into the above noted statement. Canada was a great country. Canadians continue to vote for the man that has destroyed the country. What else needs to be said? Fat and happy Canadians are so hyped up on fentanyl and cannabis that arguably half the country is asleep. Trudeau and his cabal have destroyed the once great economy. It’s too little, too late in my opinion with not a lot of daylight between the Conservatives and Liberals. The great Canada train left the station a long time ago. It will be left to the environmentalists and other do nothings to figure out how to feed themselves and buy a house.
Fair Analysis
Love the voices from across Canada. Folks keep commenting that they’re too political, but what I hear most is that they are open to criticizing the policy of the day. It’s not their fault, nor evidence of a slant, that the federal government has been the same party for last 8 years.
