The Mother Daze with Sarah Wright Olsen & Teresa Palmer
Sarah Wright Olsen (American Made, Parks and Recreation) and Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies, Hacksaw Ridge) are two moms, from opposite ends of the world, meeting for an hour every week to discuss the mayhem, magic and madness of raising their 8 children between them. Motherhood can feel overwhelming, exhausting and isolating but you don’t have to do it alone! Follow along as they attempt to navigate, ask questions, share stories, break down the everyday challenges and hopefully keep you from googling phrases like “What does it mean when my baby’s poop is green?” Grab your coffee, tea, Kombucha or favorite libation and join as they discuss mom fails, poop talk, pillow talk, and much more. These moms will engage in some brilliant interviews with celebrity friends, parenting experts and listeners like you! Wonderful podcast!

I love this podcast especially their solo episodes. When they are just talking about their lives and sharing crazy stories that always make me laugh! Their episodes with guests are always so in-depth and informative, I learn so much! Do yourself a favor and give this podcast a listen ;)
The perfect welcome to motherhood
2023-03-27
I just had my second child last month and found this podcast this week. The timing has been perfect as this is exactly what I need to hear. Absolutely love listening to both Sarah and Teresa with how real and funny they are. I’ve always wanted 4 children and listening to them makes me feel like it’s still possible even though I’ll be in my late 30s when I’m done. Unless I can manifest twins. ;) keep it coming ladies.
Unintentional diet culture makes it a hard listen
Feb 8
I love both of the hosts, and own their collaborative pregnancy book. It’s just such a beautiful little community that’s been cultivated! But to be completely honest, it’s a huge turn off hearing constant unintentional diet culture remarks that I don’t think they realize they are even making. It’s definitely an industry thing, I’m sure. But there is so much constant chatter about eating bad foods, “ treating themselves” to “junk food”, cutting peanut butter cups into multiple pieces to share between the kids. Mark being a tyrant over junk food, feeling good about themselves when they eat avocado toast etc. etc. And in a world where women are trying to reclaim the antiquated idea that our worth revolves around what we’ve eaten for a day, it’s a challenging message that they keep sharing. Particularly when this podcast centres around motherhood, and they both have daughters. I’m in my late 30s, so this is also something I grew up with myself. But aren’t we trying to change things here? Can we please stop talking about food intake as if it impacts our value as women? It gives major orthorexia vibes. And I’m saying that as somebody who is a wellness educator, and in the holistic health space. With that said, I really do love the podcast.
