Great podcast
I listened to this and haven't even watched The Wire yet -- it's a great podcast experience.
Stay on topic
Season 1 was covered very well. Episodes were actually discussed in full. Starting with season 2 and moreso in season 3 the discussions weren’t as episode-centric as they could have been. Crucial events were sometimes glossed over and the episode discussions weren’t as in depth as they should have been. For me season 3 went off the rails more than a few times in the face of unnecessary political discussions and other soap box diatribes nowhere near related to the show. Too much veering off topic for my liking.
Outstanding for those who have watched the entire show!
If Jamele could have only seemingly swallowed her pride and pronounce Burrell properly, it would have been easier to take her completely seriously. Regardless, this is a mostly flawless, insightful and hilarious deep dive into what will forever stand as an important, GOAT television series.
Bravo 👏
