History of the 90s x True North True Crime - Reena Virk Part 2

Join us as we sit down with History of the 90's host, Kathy Kenzora to discuss the tragic 1997 murder of Reena Virk. Reena Virk was a 14-year-old girl from Saanich, British Columbia, Canada, who was murdered in November 1997. She was lured to a secluded area by a group of teenagers, including Kelly Ellard and Warren Glowatski, where she was brutally beaten and drowned. The case gained widespread attention due to its shocking nature and the young age of both the victim and the perpetrators. Kelly Ellard, who was 15 at the time of the murder, was eventually convicted of second-degree murder after multiple trials, and Warren Glowatski was convicted of manslaughter.

Love the podcast but miss the posting frequency and ad free days

The content of this podcast is really great. When I first found it I LOVED it. I loved how a new episode was released weekly and that they were ad free.

I know they obviously need / want to make morey from the podcast but the ads and subscription options take away from the podcast content.

It also sucks having to wait 2 weeks for a 30 minute episode to come out.

Its May 28 and the last ‘free’ content was May 2nd.. It’s a shame because I love the content but naturally you end up going elsewhere.

Now Costs $$$

Used to be a extremely good podcast but now it’s just a money grab . Not great for helping build awareness for victims if it costs $$$
