    Dr. Gabriel Xiao's Baby Lab welcomes nearly 400 infants and children every year. Gabriel and his team study how human cognition develops from infancy to early childhood by running research studies with nearly 400 infants and children every year.

    Dr. Alex Hall - If there's a door, give it a push

    Dr. Alexander Hall is an optimist. He thinks that this is a great time to be a science communicator. Alex is a historian who looks at how science is communicated: from science documentaries to weather forecasts. He's an Assistant Professor in Science Communication at McMaster University, and lead investigator of the newly formed Science in Society Lab.

    Dr. Katrina Choe - We use animals to study sociability

    Dr. Katrina Choe leads the Choe lab. She and her colleagues study the social behaviour of mice to uncover links between gene mutations and social differences in people with autism. Dr. Katrina Choe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University and a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Neurobiology of Social Behaviour.

    Dr. Anthony Chibba is an assistant professor in the teaching stream. Each year, he teaches thousands of students. He is a master in using humour and innovative content to engage his students. He is part of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at McMaster University.

    Dr. Pratheepa Jeganathan - We count bacteria

    Dr. Pratheepa Jeganathan is a mathematician who counts bacteria. She likes using math to solve real world problems. She uses multiview learning and mathematics to help us better understand the microbiome in the human digestive system and vagina. She also researches tumour environments. Practical applications include infection and cancer treatment. Dr. Jeganathan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University.

    Ryan Cloutier - "Are we alone in the universe?"

    Dr. Ryan Cloutier is searching for the answer to the question, "are we alone in the universe?". He's searching for planets that could be home to extraterrestrial life, particularly earth-like planets orbiting red dwarfs. He thinks that in as little as ten years, we'll find a likely candidate that could harbour life.

    Dr. Pat Clancy researches quantum materials with weird or unusual properties like super conductors. He uses McMaster's nuclear reactor to find and test new materials. He is Assistant Professor of Physics & Astronomy at McMaster University.
