Bret and Heather's wealth of knowledge never ceases to amaze me, even after years of listening to the podcast. Their ability to convey complex scientific topics to a lay audience is a rare gift. The political topics are (obviously) very much US-centered, I wish there was someone providing the same kind of insights into European politics :)

Hard to react to smarmy content
I’ve been listening to you for months and now that I finally want to react, why is it hard to react to your views? Doesn’t that kind of barrier go against all that you preach (while also questioning what you are preaching)? You have been respected because you look at both sides of an issue from a fact-based point of view. And yet..,, I’m deeply disappointed. Your smarmy (and too arrogant approach to things no one, including you , yet definitively knows) approach is serving interests I don’t think you want to serve. But maybe the money is too hard to turn down. Be honest. We all want to protect our children and our extended families. If you’re feeling selfish, well,…. Ok. But you’ve figured out that staying on the fence about vaccines makes you popular and “pretty?” In a way you’ve always denied you care about. We’re all vulnerable to these base criteria. You’re old and ugly (like me!) and anyone who says otherwise is just trying to appeal to your vanity. Grow up! My 13 year old can tell the difference between people trying to flatter her and people who want to manipulate her. Why can’t you? Again, grow up. Follow at least a few of your own bits of advice. No matter how high on your own popularity you are now.

only defended yourself with hostile crackpots. Why? Why be
Preposterous? Why be an idiot? Why not regard numbers as
real numbers? Heather seems able to der her own fallibility. You seem self consumed, full of yourself and sucking your own dick, whenever possible. . Try to convince someone that your lame
dick is worth sucking before you put it out there naked and limp.
