Retired fire expert and inspector whose second act is being a successful author

Prolific writer David Wilson, who has 2 new books out in stores now joins Enterprise Radio. Before becoming an author, David was an EMT, crew chief, training officer, day captain and Fire Department fire inspector since 1985.

This episode of Enterprise Radio is in association with the Author Channel.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest David Wilson discuss the following:

    * I know your two books are selling well, and I congratulate you! I’d love you to tell us how you went from being a 40-year plus fire expert and inspector to becoming an author!

    * Tell us first about “Fires in your Life” please.

    * What is a story that you can a share with our audience about an unforgettable fire inspection visit?

    * You also wrote a beautifully illustrated book that is very timely, The Gopher Tale. What inspired you to write this book?

    * Did you find the process of being published and sold in stores, and NOT being self-published, daunting? Tell us about that.

    * What tip would you share with anyone seguing from a full-time career to that of being an author?

Lt. David Wilson was an EMT, crew chief, training officer, day captain and Fire Department fire inspector since 1985.

Armed with his mechanical background from Lincoln Technical Institute, public speaking, training, love of people, and the desire to make the world a better and safer place, he was certified as a fire official, arson investigator, instructor, HazMat technician, fire sub-code official, housing official, and deputy coordinator with OEM.

He has two new books published by Rebel Books Press that are available wherever books are sold.

Based upon his over forty years as an expert in the fire department in Nutley, New Jersey, “Fires in Your Life” is written for everyday people plus anyone working in firehouses as firefighters, inspectors, and educators.

His second novel, the illustrated “The Gopher Tale” shares his eclectic range of writing, as this is a children’s story born out of his passion for gardening. “The Gopher Tale” offers an educational message of peaceful coexistence between all creatures and humankind, the importance of sustainability, and the power of working together with others to solve global challenges such as food insecurity.

“The Gopher Tale,” by author David Wilson, revives the beloved traditions of another historic author, Virginia Bennett, who wrote animal stories for children in the early 20th century.

This incredible story shares the whimsical tale of fantastical gophers who become friends and fellow workers on an organic farm, creating a deep bond with the farmer through a profound respect and love for the land.

From adventures to dire challenges and much more, “The Gopher Tale” offers an educational message of peaceful coexistence between all creatures and humankind, the importance of sustainability, and the power of working together with others to solve global challenges such as food insecurity.

Artwork throughout the book reinforces the imaginative storyline and provides a place for young readers to practice their coloring skills.
