Holy Taboo Naajiah Shabazz

We love to say “I’m real” or “I always keep it real” but how real are we with God when it comes to how we feel in moments or doubt, frustration and sadness? Do we hide our feelings from the one that knows our heart or do we come to him in worship just as busted as we are and feel? God wants you to be your true authentic self even if that means you’re not okay.

“A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!”

I don’t know about you but I didn’t come to earth to live a mediocre life! If Christ came so that we could have life to the full why would we accept anything less than that? Let’s talk about what the Lord really has in store for us and let’s finally walk in the abundant life!

More than often we do so well keeping a strong face and we tell ourselves to stay strong so that we can be perceived as strong as we face the most difficult moments in our lives. How miserable does that feel to walk about broken, empty, discouraged and angry and not be able to share that all because you want to keep face! Let God be the first to know what’s on your heart, he already knows but he needs you to realize it too. Being your most vulnerable self is the key to healing. Let’s listen and see how we can invite God in our discouragement and what he says he will do in the midst of it.

“God knows my heart!” This is the cop out of the century if you ever been confronted with a challenge to go deeper in Christ you might be showing symptoms of lukewarmness! But hey we’ve all been there at some point of our walks. We give ourselves “grace” and excuse ourselves when we don’t want to take the next step into, dare I say SANCTIFICATION! It’s almost a curse words. But it’s was makes us more Christ like, that conviction you feel when your not doing the will of God or representing him well is Gods way of correcting. It’s like a traffic like green means go, yellow means slow down and red means STOP! Listen to Lords correction is out of love. The Lord DOES know your heart, that’s not as good as you think.

“Women need to be silent and submissive in the church” we heard those words time and time again. If you’re anything like me you probably raised an eyebrow or two because something didn’t seem right. I had to seriously ask the Holy Spirit for clarity because I’ve seen so many women of God be used mightily in the church, outside the church, next to the church etc. I finally received revelation about the controversial topic and I want to share that with you! Let’s dive in!

Speaking in Tongues can seem strange to some believers and non believers alike but it is not Taboo like some may assume. What if there was a way to pray the perfect prayer and have a secret coded language with the Lord? Well according to scriptures there is!
