This podcast has changed my life. Thank you so much for the work that you do! Personal story: I am a mom of 3, 2 were “big babies”, 4.4 and 4.6kg each. They were born spontaneously, without complication and beautifully. I had tremendous pressure to schedule a c section with my first, despite a family history of big babies and a confidence we made a good pair, my baby and I. My OB refused to care for me after 28 weeks when I refused the schedule his c section. Well, you better believe I waltzed into my 6 week postpartum appointment proud as a… well a woman who just birthed a “gigantic” baby without complication, intervention or injury. With my second, my confidence was next level and his birth was beautiful, at 4.6kg of him. It’s shows like this which will help other moms remove the fear and coercion I was subjected to (for big babies, but a whole host of other situations) and have confidence in their bodies to birth their babies in a way which is right for everyone. I just love the dynamics between Katie and Rachel. They provide fabulous realistic and honest discussions about sensitive and interesting topics. I think every midwife or LC should listen to these great podcasts.
