The Way Out Is In
This podcast series is aimed at helping us to transcend our fear and anger so that we can be more engaged in the world in a way that develops love and compassion. Thich Nhat Hanh’s calligraphy ‘The Way Out Is In” highlights that the way out of any difficulty is to look deeply within, gain insights and then put them into practice. "The Way Out is In" is co-hosted by Brother Phap Huu, Thich Nhat Hanh's personal attendant for 17 years and the abbot of Plum Village's Upper Hamlet, and Jo Confino, who works at the intersection of personal transformation and systems change. The podcast is co-produced by the Plum Village App and Global Optimism, with support from the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation.

I've been listening to this podcast for over a year now – it might actually be two – and that by and of itself already says a lot. I'm usually not a person who sticks to a certain medium. but The Way Out Is In has become an essential part of my practice. brother phap huu and joe talk about issues and events that I have come across myself but often feel overwhelmed by – they speak about the big and the small, the personal and the geopolitical and shed a buddhist light on it. just listening to the podcast is healing and I want to thank brother phap huu and joe and all the other people that I do not know by name, but who make it possible for us to listen to this gem of a podcast, from the bottom of my heart. 🤍
