    There’s a lot of modern talk about how closure is only truly found within. And TBH? I disagree. I think this is a reaction to a relational culture that’s still pretty averse to deep & honest closure conversations. I think we’ve grown so used to the lack of collaborative closure that we’ve convinced ourselves the need or desire is negligible. “I never get that, so I don’t need it anyway” might just soften the pain of having a consistently unmet need. But is it really true? In this episode, I explore what it means to find closure when we can't seem to get it from someone else — and how the grief of heartbreak and loss is more of a spiral than a straight line. I discuss the Two of Pentacles and its connection to balance & burden, and, as always, I unravel the lyrics of a song that capture the essence of this episode's energy.     What does it mean to carry power responsibly? And what does grounded power look like? In this episode, I explore the 9 of Wands and its relationship to struggle. A card of resilience, grit, determination, and courage, this card evokes the image of the warrior — a traditional depiction of power. It’s visceral and intense. But like fire itself, power can become dangerous and contagious when unchecked, burning out of control and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Ethically wielding power means rooting in compassion and grounding ourselves. It’s like having water nearby, and constructing a fire pit out of rocks to contain the flames before we strike the match. Those measures allow us to burn safely, and to harness the creative power seeded our sacred rage.     Welcome to Season Six. In our first episode, I explore the relationship between (in)security and Temperance — a Major Arcana card that teaches us about moderation, patience, and healing. When our foundation is rocked or we’re feeling unsteady, it’s natural to seek an escape from our pain. But sometimes short-term gratification pushes us further into the abyss. We can bypass our emotions temporarily, but not forever. Eventually they’ll come knocking. Staying present with tough emotions helps us increase our capacity for discomfort and pleasure. It gives us greater access our full range of emotion. It’s not necessarily fun work, but it’s life-changing. By pausing and getting present, we can interrupt the cycle of escapism and find new, more empowering ways to soothe our fears.     This week’s feel is betrayal, complemented by The Tower. What a vibe, eh? 💀 I thought this week’s episode might be lighter but I thought wrong!! I explored all sorts of betrayals in this episode and talked about how we often (not always) see and feel little b betrayals on the way to capital B betrayals in relationships. And, often, betrayal is a mechanism that frees us or someone we love from a connection that’s run its course — or an exit strategy that helps us avoid intimacy. P.S.
