Hussaini Hussaini Podcast

"Death with dignity is better than living with disgrace" is one of the most profound sayings of Imam Hussain (a.s.). And a "Hussaini", a true follower of Imam Hussain (a.s.), will try to keep him alive by living his principles. 
A "Hussaini" is not only "Hussaini" during Muharram but also everyday of his/her life. We should aim to live as a "Hussaini" everyday.
Imam Hussaini's principles are relevant to every aspect of our life and every transaction that we get involved. Everyday people are influenced by his teachings and as a result personalities are shaped, characters are formed and leaders are made. And this happens just simply because of being involved in the path of Imam Hussain (a.s.)
For a better understanding of these principles, I have tried to accommodate the core principles under the 8 character of the word HUSSAINI as follows:
H - Hope: Imam Hussain's life creates hope for each and everyone of us to this day. And as you know, hope is the source of vibrancy and vitality in our lives.
U - Universal: The cause of Imam Hussain was universal and therefore a "Hussaini" will aim to be universal in his mindset and worldview. He/She will have the bigger picture in mind to be there for the cause of humanity.
S - Sacrifice: We are all aware of Imam Hussain's sacrifice and the most important sacrifice of a "Hussaini" is to keep his/her ego in check.
S - Sincere: Everything Imam Hussain(a.s.) did was for the sake of God and a "Hussaini" will have God in mind for all his/her dealings. His/Her motivation and intention is God only.
A - Affection: Imam Hussain sacrificed himself for the good of humanity and a "Hussaini" loves people and tries to be at the service of people.
I - Integrity: Imam Hussain showed us that he maintained his principles during difficult times, even with his enemies. A "Hussaini" tries to be above the crowd and maintain his/her principles and not sacrifice them for short-term self-interest.
N - Noble: For Imam Hussain his dignity was important and a "Hussaini" will not be involved in a situation where his/her dignity is demeaned. 
I - Independent: Imam Hussain did what he was required to do and a "Hussaini" will do what he/she is suppose to do. There might be distractions and temptations around but a "Hussaini" will be strong enough to focus on his/her duty.

These are the 8 areas that we will focus and elaborate in our future episodes and make them relevant and relatable to our everyday life. All we want to do is to create a "Hussaini" movement, a "Hussaini" culture, a "Hussaini" lifestyle and a way of living...
