Episode 12 with Zacharie Francois
On this episode of From the Hangar, host Lem Malabuyo sits down with Zacharie François, a Haitian who grew up in Port Au Prince, and also an MAF pilot/mechanic! Zacharie's family became close with the MAF team in Haiti before he was born, so Zacharie grew up steeped in the MAF community. Years later when Zacharie entered adulthood, he pursued a career in missionary aviation, and the rest is history.

They chat about their multi-generational missionary family, starting with Fred being a third-culture kid (TCK). Fred, Desi, and Tyler share their thoughts on missionary life and the joys and difficulties that come with raising families in developing countries. They also talk talked about the odd interactions they experienced coming back to their “passport country” and interacting with their peers who did not grow up overseas!
