近日，北京商场出现了“父婴室”，并将其翻译为“Super Dad’s Spot”，引发了大家关于育婴分工的讨论。今天我们就来聊一聊“Super Dad’s Spot”这个翻译地道吗？以及在西方文化中父亲在育婴分工中承担什么样的角色？

01. “Super Dad's Spot” Debut in Beijing Shopping Malls 北京商场出现“超级奶爸区”

最近有网友发现，北京朝阳区大悦城商场将母婴室（mother-baby room）改为一间家庭育婴室（a family room），惠多港购物中心则专门设置了“父婴室（father and baby room）”，并创意性地命名为“Super Dad’s Spot”。

“Super Dad’s Spot”这个名称颇具新意，不禁让主播联想到The Incredibles（《超人总动员》）中的主人公Mr. Incredible（超能先生）。但在地道英语表达中，表示父婴室更常用的说法是“father’s lounge”或者“dad and baby room”。

Mr. Incredible: 超能先生，是力量、正义、爱心、责任心的代表。

“Super Dad’s Spot” is a great step toward encouraging fathers to get more involved (有更多的参与). 父婴室对于自己带孩子出门的爸爸们会非常ideal（理想的）。拥有两个宝宝的主播表示：After flying back to the US or returning to China, her entire family can go inside and find relief (歇脚整顿)，很便利。

In China, it’s often moms who spend the most time with the baby. 在主播这一千禧年代的西方人中有个玩笑话：“To be a supermom, moms are held to a high standard (高标准) of care-giving and domestic work (育儿和家务).” 而爸爸们通常被当成辅助角色（a secondary parent）或“临时照看者（a babysitter）”。

而在美国，基本没有坐月子这个概念。Parents usually raise the baby themselves without as much help. 一般女方的母亲会来短暂地照顾一段时间（help for a short time），亲密朋友（close friends）通常会来访并带些吃的或婴儿礼物。

当父母共同决定有宝宝的那一刻，也就意味着这是两个人的责任。It makes sense that both should be responsible for caring for (照顾) it. People would love to see more “parent room(家庭育婴室)” in public spaces. 而且“parent room”这个词营造了一种温馨又没有倾向性的氛围，传达了一种“照顾宝宝应该父母共同承担的责任”这样一种观念。

“Super Dad’s Spot”的出现意味着人们的育儿观念有了新的变化，这种变化不仅体现在设施上，更体现在每个家庭的实际育儿分工中，更体现在父母共同学习、共同成长的过程中。
