Our Servant King

Today we hear in our Gospel lesson of how John the Baptist asked from prison if Jesus was the one who was to come or if they should wait for another. Jesus answers this question for John by reflecting the words of the prophets of old and telling him about what people hear and see about Jesus – how he brings healing and hope to those in need. As we strive to follow our servant King, may we too seek to help bring healing to the world and share the good news for the many who long to hear it.
