    #301: Adam Woodworth of Wing

Incubated inside Google's X project and now deploying in the real world, Wing is an aerial drone delivery company with some interesting parallels to another of Alphabet's "other bets" the gang regularly discuses: Waymo. But, as CEO Adam Woodworth explains, Wing also provides a very different look at how one engineers automated mobility services at a system level, focused more on creating "lego pieces" than specific vehicles. He joins the show to explain Wing's strategy, the unique challenges it faces, and lessons learned along the way.

Great One

Conversations are in-depth and the people know what they are talking about. Sound quality is good. I especially like the fact that these people don't just hype things up but show a genuine interest. Thumbs up!

A podcast for americans by americans

They talk about the automotive industry and very little about autonomous cars.
In the beginning they were talking more about autonomous cars. But then they decided that the technology is way too far behind. Since then they shifted to talk about how the industry does not get autonomous driving. Not really interesting. Sometimes they have really good guest and then it gets interesting. But that happens less and less
Quality wise I am also disappointed, they have a lot of „aeerhm“ and filling gaps with just talking around. They pretend to tease the other members, but they are trying very hard to talk each other up, but it does not works because it is too obvious. The worst thing is that they are all soooo busy that they have to leave the podcast early. Hey if you have no interest in your own podcast then just don’t do it.
They started not bad but have gone down hill the last year.
I suppose it is a American "thing“ talking like that and as a European it is just too weird.
