There’s a reason the History Channel has produced hundreds of documentaries about Hitler but only a few about Dwight D. Eisenhower. Bad guys (and gals) are eternally fascinating. Behind the Bastards dives in past the Cliffs Notes of the worst humans in history and exposes the bizarre realities of their lives. Listeners will learn about the young adult novels that helped Hitler form his monstrous ideology, the founder of Blackwater’s insane quest to build his own Air Force, the bizarre lives of the sons and daughters of dictators and Saddam Hussein’s side career as a trashy romance novelist.

Brilliant people talking about bad people

Behind the Bastards is listening to brilliant people - host Robert Evans and guests as well as producer Sophie Lichterman - talking about bad people. Drawing from multiple sources on each subject matter, every episode Evans expertly draws you into enthralling and sometimes devastating tales of neglect, stupidity, hubris, greed, vanity, misfortune and success, bad decisions and simple indifference and other very human vices and flaws that can merge into a real human piece of garbage. I recommend every episode, because I’ve listened to them all - sometimes repeatedly - to anyone who wants to know what is the story, well, behind the bastards.

You rdy for a life-changing experience???

The designers of this gospel are our ultimate moral instances! They seem to know so much about human mankind that we should drop whatever belief system we lived in to follow theirs! It incorporates a bunch of cool swear words and sprinkles of capitalism-critique - not the systematic kind though, they wanna let you know that it is the cruel people on top, the 1%, who are to blame!
