The American Minutemen were crucial to the defense and preservation of early America and were often times the sole protectors for the communities they belonged to. The early minutemen were coordinated, disciplined, physically fit, well trained, highly mobile, and could deploy within 60 seconds of being alerted. They embodied true personal responsibility and maintained a culture of preparation and readiness understanding that the freedoms they enjoyed were not guaranteed.

Today our freedoms, values, and societies are being continually attacked and degraded. We believe that bringing back the culture of the Minutemen may be necessary to stand against this degradation and to prepare for the possible need to defend our families and the communities we live in.

Looking back at those who came long before us as an example, we believe it is necessary to adopt and embody that same culture to better preserve our freedoms. We believe in protecting our inalienable human rights as well as our American constitutional rights and believe they are applicable to every person equally. Furthermore, we believe in the value and importance of the Second Amendment and believe that every able-bodied American should be responsible practitioners of this Amendment bearing modern arms and equipment with the willingness to stand up against evil to preserve the freedoms we hold dear.

Working to maintain and defend these values we believe in helping to reinforce individual responsibility through education, knowledge, and advice. Helping to inspire and build up a culture of disciplined readiness and coordinated community capable of responding to natural, foreign, and domestic threats within a minutes notice. In this Podcast, we discuss the reality of what it means to be a modern day minuteman and try to provide educational guidance on a variety of topics that tie into that responsibility.

    "Maintaining Operational Fitness" (DAGR Management)

Being a true "modern minuteman" and an asset to your community requires commitment and discipline. Physical performance and fitness should be at the pinnacle of that commitment. Being disciplined and responsible for your own fitness requires a fundamental knowledge of your own body and what it needs. Understanding how to train efficiently as well as avoid injury are vital to overall fitness success.
In this episode Dynamic Defense Solutions founders (Stephen and Jacob) are joined by Sam Wood of DAGR Management to discuss fitness and the importance of being able to physically perform at a high level. This episode breaks down fundamental physiological information that is important to better understand how to maintain a high level of fitness. Sam also talks about how to mitigate and avoid injury as well as how to work around injuries. This episode is considered a "part two" to the earlier episode with Sam ("Operational Fitness").

"Culture War & Personal Responsibility" (Cold Frontier Training)

"Culture War & Personal Responsibility" (Cold Frontier Training)

America has suffered consistent and regular moral injury over the last several years. This degrading and chipping away has exponentially increased in recent years. There is undeniably a cultural war being waged not just in America and within western societies, but worldwide as well. This is a cultural war that includes physical and spiritual consequences and requires good men and women to take responsibility and put forth intentional effort to stand against evil and raise future generations of morally upright individuals.

Jacob and Stephen sit down with Joshua Scilzo, founder of Cold Frontier Training & Tactics to talk about the importance of individual responsibility, and the value of the traditional family. They also discuss how to be more proactive within local community and the importance of joining the fight to stand against cultural evils that seek to destroy what is good.

    "Civil Reconnaissance"

    "Civil Reconnaissance"

One of the main disadvantages of the modern minuteman team is its small size relative to a more conventional fighting force. This necessitaites a strong understanding of small unit tactics and missions that compliment a small unit well, one such mission is reconnaissance. Being able to effectively perform recon operations is not only a great way to maintain situational awarness for your community, but it is also a manageable skill for small sized teams / units.

In this episode, Stephen and Jacob reintroduce the reconnaissance mission and break down one of its sub-disciplines (civil reconnaissance). Civil Reconnaissance skills step away from a more conventional combatant recon mission and require a more covert and clandestine approach. These skills are paramount to the modern minuteman and should be prioritized well before the need for more convential methods.

This is part of a multipart series on reconnaissance. Check out Rural Reconnaissance, Urban Reconnaissance, Vehicular Reconnaissance, and Reconnaissance basics Part 1 & Part 2 to get a broader intro to this topic.

    "After Actions Review" (MooseRider6)

    "After Actions Review" (MooseRider6)

After Actions Reviews are used to recall, process, and de-brief a situation that happened, why it happened, and if it could've been handled better/differently. This process can enable better understanding overall, can help those who experienced the situation, and can help others who may find themselves in similar situations in the furture. On the "Minutemen Initiative" we use the After Actions Review to allow someone to share a life experience that others could learn from.
In this "After Actions Review" Jacob and Stephen sit down with MooseRider6 to discuss a wild and life-threatening experience in the backcountry mountains of Alaska. What started out as a fun multi-day backcountry adventure with his fiancee quickly turned into one of the most grueling and difficult experiences they had ever been through. This story highlights the importance of planning, decision making, and how small factors can add up to a create life-threatening situation.
We believe there is great value and benefit in listening and learning from others experiences and hearing what they learned from it.
