    Anti-Prosperity or Anti-Prosperity Gospel: Are We Self-Sabotaging?

    Anti-Prosperity or Anti-Prosperity Gospel: Are We Self-Sabotaging?

Are you ready to challenge your current perspective on prosperity and spirituality? We've reached an exciting milestone in our journey, our 200th episode, where we venture on a deep dive into contentious topics that have shaped our faith and beliefs. From a prophecy I made last year about aliens, to discussing the premature labelling of ministries and its potential stunting effect on spiritual growth, we're not shying away from the tough conversations.

A significant part of our discussion revolves around the role of spiritual leaders, and the misconception that the size of a congregation is the definitive measure of a pastor's calling. Drawing inspiration from Jesus' leadership, we underscore the importance of seeking beyond the church's walls to guide lost souls. We question the validation of divine calling by the number of church attendees, emphasizing that a personal relationship often takes precedence over quantity.

As we transition to the prosperity gospel, we untangle its misuse in the past and the struggles of pursuing stability without it being viewed as greed. We then shift gears and examine Jesus' teachings about serving God and wealth, suggesting that they do not necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. We invite you to be part of a thought-provoking conversation about wealth, spirituality, and how our perception of God's voice can have multiple dimensions. Tune in as we challenge ourselves to utilize the resources and opportunities God has given us, and prepare ourselves to delve into the Book of Ephesians next week.

Does the methodology and intention behind the way we communicate our beliefs matter? We promise you an episode that forces you to reevaluate your perspective, as we discuss these provocative questions and more. Joined by our insightful guest, Marcus Cook, we venture into the complex world of intentionality, evangelism, and wrestling with Halloween controversies within the Christian community.

Breaking away from the delicacies of the season, our conversation takes a serious turn towards the implications of purity culture and its effect on dialogues about sex and relationships with children. We challenge the idea of blind faith, advocating for honesty and vulnerability in our interactions. Shifting gears, we discuss the potential pitfalls of overemphasizing spirituality to the detriment of personal growth resources like therapy. Our discourse brings to light aspects of spirituality, responsibility, and church practices that often go ignored.

The digital era has made navigating differing ideologies more complex than ever. We provoke parents to rise to this challenge, competing with the world for their children's attention and laying a strong foundation that stands firm against worldly influences. What Do You Wish Somebody Would Have Told You When You First God Saved?

What Do You Wish Somebody Would Have Told You When You First God Saved?

Ever wondered why effective communication is crucial in nurturing our relationships? How do you address pertinent issues without causing unnecessary confrontations? Tune in for an enlightening discussion on the delicate balance of communication - a skill that we, as believers, need to master. We delve into the importance of community in our Christian lives, acknowledging the value of understanding God from His perspective while reflecting on our journeys since our acceptance of Christ.

We challenge typical conceptions in Christianity, such as the pedestalization of biblical figures and the influence of work-based thinking. Listen in as we reflect on our own experiences and learn how we can benefit from God's proximity without resorting to manipulation. We also emphasize the importance of acting out of love, with no expectations. Moreover, we ponder deeply on the concept of default trust in the church, highlighting the need to prioritize genuine relationships over titles and positions.

Lastly, we examine the factors that define a church, arguing that discipleship is more crucial than beliefs. We discuss the standards that should be met for a church to be called as such. We advocate for the prioritization of actionable aspects of discipleship over the appearance of the church, demonstrating the significance of authentic relationships and spiritual maturity. We round off the episode by looking ahead to future discussions and highlighting the importance of being part of a supportive Christian community. So, are you ready to challenge your faith and grow spiritually? Tune in to our podcast today.

We Don't Own God | What Do You Do When You Disagree With God?

What if you could see God's actions from an entirely different perspective? One that dares to question, one that wrestles with understanding His ways even when they seem contradictory to our moral beliefs? Join us on this profound exploration as we reconcile biblical instances such as Numbers 31 with the God we believe is loving and compassionate. We share our personal journeys of trusting God, even when His actions don't align with our understanding.

We dive deep into God's sovereignty, examining the story of Job, contemplating the demons' reactions to Jesus, and how our beliefs about God can sometimes limit our comprehension of His actions. We emphasize the importance of trusting Him, even when we cannot fathom why He allows suffering or why He asks us to undertake difficult tasks. As we conclude this enlightening conversation, we reflect on the immense significance of Jesus' sacrifice and how we can genuinely appreciate its profound impact. Through stories from the Bible, we discuss surrendering our expectations and beliefs to trust in God fully. We explore God's sovereignty and our allegiance to Him, even when our beliefs and expectations of Him are challenged. Christian Psychics? | Question and Discussion, You Choose The Topics

Christian Psychics? | Question and Discussion, You Choose The Topics

What if we told you that the way you see the world is pre-made and informed by others' perspectives? And that, sometimes, we unknowingly perpetuate a cycle of hate without comprehending its origin? We start this episode with personal happenings - from our energizing time at the Vid Summit in Texas to unexpected conversations about serial killers, and a few celebrations, giving you a taste of our usual banter.

We transition into a more profound dialogue about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As outsiders, we recognized a saddening lack of empathy and the dire need for prayers for both sides, emphasizing the human aspect over political affiliations. An insightful conversation ensues about how inherited hate can numb us to the nuances of a situation, particularly during elections, making us forget that behind every war, there are innocent lives involved.

Rounding off, we engage in a captivating exploration of Christian psychics, discussing the significance of discerning spiritual gifts from one's integrity. We challenge popular notions about repentance and God's judgment, provoking thoughts about fairness and consequence. In our pursuit of wisdom, we emphasize that wisdom is found in God and requires an active endeavor. So, join us, as we navigate the unchartered waters of empathy, inherited hate, spiritual gifts, and the pursuit of wisdom.
