Ray Grasse returns to the pod to discuss his new book of essays So, What Am I Doing Here, Anyway? Ranging beyond the astrological into the philosophical, it's a thought provoking collection of the questions we've all asked before, like: How does synchronicity relate to astrology? How in the world do charts still work once a person has already died? In this pod, I give some time to explain the latest changes to the show.  For many of you, nothing may seem to change; for others, it may be confusing or abrupt.  Inspired by the Jungian concept of constellating psyche, this new title borrows some of its spirit around fully engaging with "archetypes" and leans more into the planetary side of the equation.  There will be more focus on cycles moving forward.  There will also be many more shows that may seem unrelated to astrology but will be essential for our exploration of all these wyrd ideas.  Glad I've still got you along for the ride.

This is the first show under the new banner/name Constellating Cosmos.  It's the third name and hopefully the last.  To set off on this new journey, I've decided to share this conversation I recently had with Jonathan Fredette.  He's a fellow mycophile out in Oregon and also has a mushroom company called Evolved Mushrooms.  I really enjoyed meeting him.  It reminded me that I've never met a mushroom person I didn't like.  They are all fun guys and gals.

In this show, I try to reconcile the differences between Stoicism and Astrology.  There was a time when they existed side-by-side, and it seems they are doing so again today.  Both have seen a generous climb in popularity in recent years and I feel they need eachother—well, one needs the other more than the other.  I make a case for this in the pod.  It's a solo one.  I hope you enjoy it.

In this episode, Jenn returns to share with us some intel from the outer edges of our solar system.  You see, in the early 20th century, there was a school of German astrologers who became fascinated in these "hypothetical" planets beyond Neptune.  This was before Pluto's discovery and gained much momentum in certain circles.  If you have ever seen the option to put Cupido or Hades in your chart, it's these Uranian planets we explore.  Fascinating material.  Jenn is always a treat to talk to.  I learn something new every time—without fail.  Enjoy!
