inspiring

I found out about this today and started listening right away.
The way you talk about the different topics is really interesting and I like how it kind of makes you think about those issues and really acknowledge it and not just see it as a given.
Really excited to hear more.
Thanks for starting a conversation

Amazing!

Hello guys! I got around listening to this episode (episode 3) without any thoughts on, so I have a few things to add on now that I thought about during the episode! I have to say, I am not a professional in this and I surely can be wrong. I think the way social media has a influence on you depends on the way you choose to use it. It depends on the way you are giving out your personal informations and so on. I think, what makes people feel like younger persons aren't "safe" on the internet or aren't aware of the danger, is that many young people do not get educated on those sides of life. In my opinion, it really depends on the way you get to know this subject. A ten year old child that gets a Phone is most likely not going to be aware of the danger, it isn't going to know how to safely use social media, without the education that they "need" with this. Unlike if you give a 16/17 year old a phone, they may be way much aware because they've been educated about this. (For example, we have two days per semester where we discuss and learn about social media and how to safely do things on there. We do these two days since grade 5.) I'd say I am very aware of the danger now but I can tell you when I got my first phone at age 12, I was not. Now that I know about the danger that is out there, I am way more cautious with the information I do give out, because I've learned what can happen. I basically grew older seeing people kill themselves because of social media related stuff, I grew older seeing people starve themselves, hurt themselves and all of this made me take a step back from social media because I got scared. Now I do think that social media can help too. I've met a lot of people online that I not count to my best friends and people I trust a lot. Online, you can educate yourself a lot. I do watch videos to learn for my math test, for example. As I said earlier, how it effects you depends on how you use it. I also think the influence is different on people that have someone to talk about it with. I always had my parents that I could ask things, that I could tell about stuff I've seen and all that, but some out there don't and those might not see how dangerous it could get. I'll stop rambling here because I don't wanna repeat myself too much. I really liked this episode! I just wanna add a quick thank you here because you've made me think about stuff I haven't thought of before and it helps me in certain situations to now know more about this subject! (Also, I'm sorry for the bad English, it's not my mother tongue but I hope you can understand what I talk about) I'm excited for the next episode, have a lovely evening!
