IB Insider Podcast CAS 2020

In this episode, we interview two teachers who integrate AP and IB together, in our school. One is a psychology teacher, and another is a math and physics teacher.

In this episode, we provide some information about the mandatory DP core requirements, which involve a theory of knowledge class, CAS (creativity, activity, and service), and the extended essay.

In this episode, we talk about two assessments, out of many in the IB program. These assessments are the internal assessments of the English Literature course, and the Maths Analysis and Approaches course. 

Secondly, as our title suggests, we talk about the American Diploma vs. the International Baccalaureate.

Lastly, we clarify a little bit on a few things we said in our first episode, regarding the AP/IB mixing in our school, as well as what was said regarding IB's compatibility with those engaging in athletics. 

NOTE: We received feedback, for this episode, and someone kindly pointed out that IB encourages sports and exercise through the Action strand of CAS, one of the DP Core requirements.

We are three people, Alex, IJ, and RN, who are spreading awareness of the IB Diploma program in our school! In our very first episode, we discuss both the International Baccalaureate and the Advanced Placement programs. These are two of four curricula our school offers.

Please note that we ourselves are still enrolled in the IB Diploma program. Therefore, it's best to also do some additional research if you are considering which curricula to enter.
