In Defense of Liberation In Defense of Liberation!

Peace everyone, wishing you all well! I wanted to take a moment to read some poetry from our friend and Comrade sister, Mother, Julia Wright- daughter of Richard Wright, friend of Kwame and Kuma, and freedom fighters all over the globe! So I drawn to speak a bit about something some comrades of mine - and shout out to them, you know who you are - have been bringing up quite often, and that is grief, trauma, and how to reconcile these things with revolution and resistance. Hopefully some of the things I say are worthy of your listening, take care all! All power to the people of Palestine!

In this episode, we go into a discussion of a recent interview, which activist news network recently put out with Jihad Abdulmumit, diagnosing the movements of today in the so called US, and specifically the student encampments. We also discuss the importance of internationalizing our struggles and what that means, the importance of centering Political Prisoners here and around the world, and much more!

Where have I been lately? Who cares! Go out and struggle for liberation! What is “Revolutionary Optimism” ? And some other related points

We are a part of an international struggle against imperialism, colonialism, capitalism and exploitation. The resistance in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, and elsewhere has proven that this system can only be defeated by direct confrontation between forces towards the objective of completely eliminating all forms and all systems of oppression. This is the only way forward.

A reading of my poem, “What’s in a Mass Grave”

With the expansion of student lead university encampments, resistance operations, mass demonstrations worldwide, deterioration of the imperialist system, in-fighting, policing and terror tactics by the state and fascism on the rise, it is time to ask ourselves seriously: Is liberalism or social democracy, peace-activism, single issue fights, reaction and weekend organizing enough to stop them?
