    In this episode, we look at the weapons used in the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai Shows and examine their use in a martial art studio.  In our work task, we do any manual labor type of job that does raking, hoeing, or shoveling that strengthens the hands, wrists, and shoulders, so that you can successfully have the ability to handle weapons.  Then we teach some of the basics of Kobudo Weapon use including common strikes used with some the beginning weapon classes.  Lastly, we talk about legality and when to use them in certain situations.

    Miyagi Do

    In this episode, we examine the Martial Art called "Miyagi Do" this is presented in the Karate Kid Movies and further in the Cobra Kai Show.  First, we talk about how a work task can be used as a teachable moment and related to martial art movements.  Then we outline the Martial Art Style of "Miyagi Do" with the techniques, katas, and fighting maneuvers used in the movies and philosophy behind it.  Lastly, we discuss the mental training that goes along with that martial art to make you a respectful member of the community and harmony with nature around you.

    In this episode, we look at the beginning of Daniel's Martial Art Journey when Mr. Myagi talked to him about Commitment in the Karate Kid using the "grape" analogy.  We examine finishing a job for our work task and using martial arts as a system of body functioning improvement.  We talked about the importance of stretching and using the whole body in our martial art techniques.   Lastly, we talked about Full Commitment Attitude and being present both in classes and in your workouts at home.

    In this episode, we examine the Ninja Warrior as seen on American Ninja Warrior TV Show as well as the traditional Ninja in Japan.   Our work task involves building Obstacles for use in martial art classes, making them both strong, versatile, and usable by many students.  Then we talk about using the Obstacle Course Training in our martial arts to develop more skills, strength, coordination, balance, and speed while having FUN!   Lastly, we talked about Ninja Intelligence and Cunning to use in everyday life.

    Christmas Healing

    In this episode, we examine how Christmas is a time of Healing by playing a little bit of Enya's "Spirit of Christmas Past" and talking about the Christmas Special on Cobra Kai with Ali, Daniel and Johnny.   In our work, we look at taking the time for personal care including stretching and prayerful meditation.  Lastly, taking inventory or stock or our muscles, joints, and mental well-being including being "One with Yourself," to heal.

    In this episode, we use the Christmas Song "Little Drummer Boy" as our basis and inspiration for our topic, first doing our work task of Demo with a Hammer and Crowbar in home improvement.  We also teach the basics of Stick Fighting in our martial arts training segment.  Lastly, in our mental training, we talk about giving all that you can give as an example from the song "I have no gift to give...I will play my best for him."
