Do you wish you could feel confident in your homeschool decisions? Are you concerned that you aren’t doing it right? Do you wish you could get answers to all your homeschooling questions? Are you struggling to balance all your roles in this season of life?

In this podcast, you will find tactical and realistic solutions to set you free from the concerns and stress of whether you are doing the right things.

My mission is to equip you in your calling to embrace and then thrive in your homeschool, motherhood, and homemaking.

If you’re ready to get out of survival mode, feel confident, and have peace in your heart and home--you’re in the right place!

Hi, I’m Leigh, a kingdom-minded wife and mom. I tried to duct tape my priorities together without the right focus for way too many years. I was busy chasing approval from others, trying to meet perceived external expectations, and flying by the seat of my pants as a homeschool mom.

I finally realized that if I was going to fully embrace the life I had, I needed to operate from a place of peace and joy. That’s when I planted my feet firmly where I was and began to create beauty, seek simplicity, and live intentionally. And I’m ready to share this with you!

If you are ready to love your life as a homeschool mom and to know for certainty that you are doing the right thing for your children--this podcast is for you!

Close up that lesson book, mama, let the kids go play, it’s time for you to thrive!

    250. Help Your Children Fall In Love With Homeschooling: Education Doesn't Have To Be Boring!

    250. Help Your Children Fall In Love With Homeschooling: Education Doesn't Have To Be Boring!

You're probably like me in that you attended public or private school and when your years were done with...whether that was after high school or college...you were just done with what you called education.
But now, you're starting to see that what you were really burned out with was schooling. Your heart wants to turn the tide with your children and now that you have a love of learning, you want them to value education as well.
This is such a worthy pursuit since God created an amazing world and gave us the awe and wonder of it that will drive us to seek to understand Him and His creation more and more each day. Let's teach our children how to do this!

    249. Finding The Balance Between Strict Planning and Being Flexible In Your Homeschool

You want to be the fun homeschool mom, but there is a whole list of curriculum to-do's that you want to check off the list. None of these goals are bad, but do they allow time for other important things in your homeschool?
There can be a happy medium to being a strict planner or loosey-goosey with your homeschool. And it's also okay to lean more towards one end or the other.
Let's find that sweet spot that helps you accomplish the important academics, but also gives you margin for the building of character and relationships in your family.

    247. When Your Best Laid Homeschool Plans Meet With Reality: What To Do During Times When Life Throws A Curveball

The ups and downs of life are inevitable. It happened prior to homeschooling and prior to even having children. Why should life be any different now?
Well, it kind of is since you are now providing for your children's education and have little people who rely upon you 24/7.
What should a homeschool mom do when faced with little and big interruptions, life events, tragedies, and all that occurs in between? What happens to those homeschool plans? Where does the curriculum fit in?
Whether this describes a current situation in your life, you're trying to get back on your feet again, or you want to be prepared for the next event, this is the episode for you.

    246. The Truth About Why Homeschooling Has To Be Your Most Important Priority In This Season of Life

    246. The Truth About Why Homeschooling Has To Be Your Most Important Priority In This Season of Life

Even with millions more homeschoolers this year than ever before, what you are doing is still seen as counter-cultural. Unfortunately, there will be a lot of people and things calling you to focus your heart and time elsewhere.
Along with the decision to homeschool came the decision to focus on raising your children and creating the family that reflects your values and goals. But it's really easy to get sidetracked with "shiny objects" calling for your devotion.
But what if you truly make homeschooling and the lifestyle that encircles that and motherhood your most important priority? What would your life look like? And what would the ripple effect be?
After 20 years of making raising my children a priority, I have a few thoughts that I'd love to share with you in hopes that it encourages and gives you the determination to look at these years differently.
