This podcast is brought to you by two curious lighting designers, Maryam Aghajani and Dana Moazenie. The aim for this podcast is primarily to start an open conversation with designers and fellow lighties from diverse backgrounds working in the lighting design field and discuss the dark spots existing within it. We plan to give voice and shine light on your point of view and talk about challenges within; in aim of finding solutions and improving our sometimes not so sensitive community. Lastly, we both are eager to create sessions exploring new technologies, thoughts and disciplines via our conversations with creative minds not only in our field rather from a broader circle.

E.1 What do we, lighting designers, seek in the world of lighting?

E.1 What do we, lighting designers, seek in the world of lighting?

For our first episode we decided to go back to the beginning, the moment when we all decided that lighting design was the path for us to take and ponder on. We interviewed a few architectural lighting students from Wismar since they are at the beginning of their journey and a few fellow lighting designers with several years of practice. We would like to thank our fellow designers: Carlijn Timmermans from C.Light.Wise in the Netherlands, Mahdis Aliasgari from Lighting Design Collective in Madrid and Fanny Perineau from Licht Kunst Licht in Berlin as well as our dedicated Wismar participants Amir Kamyabi from Iran and Yuri Astakhov from Russia. We eagerly invite you, our listeners, to share your own thoughts and perspectives on the matters we've discussed today. If you're interested in participating, please reach out to us via email livelightpodcast@gmail.com, and we'll provide you with our questionnaire. Once we gather enough responses from all of you, we'll record a follow-up episode to delve deeper into the topic and reflect your invaluable insights.
    * We're aware of some extra noise in the background. As we continue to evolve and enhance our podcast, your understanding is greatly appreciated.
