The Poet's Truth About Consumerism: Is it a Cult? w/ guest Justin Colella

The Poet's Truth About Consumerism: Is it a Cult? w/ guest Justin Colella

What's to blame for our materialistic culture? Is it consumerism, capitalism, or something else entirely? We speak with Justin Colella, a lifetime lover of wisdom, entrepreneur, activist, hypnotist, producer, and philanthropist. He started his first company at the age of 19 and has been self-employed ever since.

He is currently the Founder and Executive Director of the international 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Human Rights Organization, Hustle For Humanity, and has almost two decades experience running many for profit ventures which engage in guerrilla marketing and direct sales for Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 clients.

Six years prior to Covid19, and in predetermined preparation for the upcoming chaos of the new decade, his focus shifted primarily from commercial ventures towards inner work and idealistic pursuits aimed at actualizing a new paradigm of sustainable development capable of superseding the archaic and obsolete model of selfishness, ignorance, tribalism, and greed of the old.
How does our current culture act as a cult of consumerism? Can we have healthy consumerism? How do we stop wage slavery and the exploitation of people by the rich elite 1%. How do we leave the cult of consumerism?

Through the Community Literature Initiative's Poetry Publishing Program, she crafted her first collection of poetry, which is due to come out in 2021.
