Nutrition Advice from McDonalds?

I always take the Nutrition Diva’s advice with at least a grain of salt since I read that the organisation which grants her the title of “certified nutritionist” is dominated by the fast food industry.
I see that in general she accepts the healthiness of e.g. vegetables but she never condemns the fast food served at fast food chains like MaDonalds or Burger King. Instead the Nutrition Diva points out that it is always an advantage to have a “flexible” diet and everybody should be open and mix a lot of different foods.
Yes, we all like do that (first a little green stuff and then I can have my burger…) but using this as a defence for the worst foods we eat, seems a little shady to me (especially considering her professional origins).
For for serious advice on food I see the books of Dr Joel Fuhrman as the most professional guideline who is also not focusing on the reasoning that there is a study to proof everything instead pointing out that the really big independent studies paint a very clear picture what is good nutrition for humans
(see e.g. The China Study - the biggest nutrionist study ever done as far as I know).
