Socosani originates from the snowmelt of the Chachani volcano in Arequipa, Peru. The Chachani Volcano has an atitude of 20,000ft (6,000m)  above sea level and its summit is always covered in snow. Snowmelt filters through the geo-strata and follow its natural underground course towards the Socosani Valley, where they also naturally emerge at the free flowing spring.
 
The Valley is located in a remote area naturally isolated from any type of pollution. Socosani is a bottled at the source to keep all its properties as natural as possible.
 
Marco Aurelio Vinelli an Italian pharmacist discovers the source and after he send samples to France to certificate the mineral properties of the water, he open the first bottler of mineral spring water company in Peru in 1004. The word Socosani has its origin in the Aymara word "Suq'usa", which refers to the name of a type of reed (Cañahueca), abundant in the Valley.

Like most Singaporeans, Sam grew up on Tap water and had never really cared nor thought much about water. This all changed when the opportunity came and he enrolled in the Water Sommelier Certification course by Doemens Academy, Germany, in 2018 and the Fine Water Academy in 2019. There, he learnt properties about water that most people do not yet know of – not even the internet and discovered so many amazing brands that have been enjoyed by the Europeans for decades, even centuries! So mind-blowing was the experience that it inspired him to make it his career to share it with the World. With this vision in mind, The Water Sommelier was established in 2019.

State of Maine Grants Unprecedented Waiver Based on Detailed Water Analysis of Centuries-Old, Rare Free-Flowing Spring.

Michael Tanousis is the Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Aqua Amore Ltd which was established in 2007 as the UK’s only dedicated fine water retailer and trade supplier. In 2009, he pioneered an investigation into the suitability of ‘fine’ water alongside wine, a project known as ‘Minerals & Terroir’.
