Discover real-life horror stories, from bizarre crimes to paranormal activity. These true stories are set inside the fictional world of Radio Rental, an 80’s video rental store run by an eccentric shopkeeper, Terry Carnation (Rainn Wilson). This imaginative, cult classic-inspired horror brand blurs the lines of reality, with cutting-edge documentary storytelling and a splash of comedy. From the mind of Payne Lindsey, this is Radio Rental.

Great pod
Personally, I can’t get enough of this podcast. It hits that almost nostalgic mark for me, that is so rare to find in new things these days. The background sounds are fitting to the stories, the voice acting ( to bring the characters in each story better into the imagery) is just enough, the music has that pioneered synthesizer flavour, and then there are the stories themselves. These stories are the mysterious kids in the dark hoodies who sit in the back of the class, draw on their desks, and only raise their hands when they have something truly different, truly genuine to say.
Chilling...
Firstly, as a kid of the 80s, I'm totally fond of the whole video rental concept. It creates such a great atmosphere around the stories and it's already worth it to just listen to Terry Carnation. The stories in itself are little listening-bites that leave you thinking about, for the rest of the day. I binged every episode now waiting for more. As a fan of "Up and Vanished" being one of my favorite podcasts, I know that everything that comes from tenderfood TV has a special quality that creates a lasting imprint, which widens your horizon. Lastly I want to give a big shout out to Makeup and Vanity Set. So much talent.... Everything works so well. I love the tunes and mixing. This whole team is awesome and I'm looking forward to what will come in the future.
