Episode 10: Joe Ryan
Attentive followers of this podcast will recall that Joe Ryan was one of the recommendations provided by Episode 6 guest, Brent Pearson. Joe is a film maker, photographer, creator and explorer, and while he makes documentaries for a living, he’s also created a YouTube channel where he documents his motorcycling adventures. I spoke to Joe shortly after his return from New Zealand, where he had shot an 18-part series, which at the time we spoke, had begun to appear on his YouTube channel.
Joe and I had a wide-ranging chat about the many aspects of creating travel films and publishing to YouTube.

Episode 9: Nathaniel Ramirez
I can’t remember exactly how I became aware of film editor and freelance filmmaker Nathaniel Ramirez and “The Motorcycle Archives” but I have a suspicion our paths crossed somewhere on Instagram, most likely viewing a post by the creator of the podcast “This Motorcycle Life”, Bruce Philp. Nathaniel and I are both fans of “This Motorcycle Life”, and after viewing Nathaniel’s YouTube channel and listening to his own podcast, I had a feeling we would have a very “This Motorcycle Life-esque” conversation when we sat down and recorded the interview for this episode.
In this episode, Nathaniel made reference to the following content creator:
Todd Blubaugh https://www.youtube.com/@BlueTodd
Events referred to in this episode:
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (2024) https://www.gentlemansride.com

Episode 8: Tom Gould
Tom Gould reached out to me in late February, expressing an interest in being a guest on the podcast. At that time, he and girlfriend Lauren were in Guinea, on the west coast of Africa, heading south. When Tom contacted me I wasn’t familiar with him and his YouTube channel, I Like Motorbikes, but I thought it might be interesting to talk with someone who is publishing to YouTube while undertaking an epic journey. As you’ll hear, it isn’t Tom’s first adventure, but nothing he’s done before matches the scale of this undertaking.
In this episode, Tom made reference to the following content creators:
Beau Miles https://www.youtube.com/@BeauMiles
Bike World https://www.youtube.com/@BikeWorldTVshow
RevZilla https://www.youtube.com/@RevZilla
