River of Life - Cold Spring Unknown

We are in week 2 of our new series, Blueprints. This week, we are passing the baton... both metaphorically, and literally. Retired Lead Pastor Denny Curran took some time to speak on the importance on laying the framework for his family of why faith is so important, and how Jesus was and continues to be the cornerstone of the legacy that has been built at River of Life. Pastor Kirby is then given the baton to carry on the legacy at River of Life, while also sharing his next steps as well.

We are jumping into a new series this month all about how to LIVE a better, more fulfilling life. Often times, when we are given blueprints, they are made with the intention for a lasting building. We are in a unique and pioneering age at River of Life. Our Pastor, Denny Curran, has faithfully led the church for almost 30 years. He brought along Kirby St. John many years ago as a youth pastor, and they both worked together to spread the gospel of Jesus to our community and surrounding areas. Kirby would eventually go on to lead the state youth ministry as our District Youth Director. It is fitting that Kirby would take on the mantle of lead pastor of River of Life as Denny retires and focuses his attention on other ministry. We are in the last week of Denny sharing his favorite topics. As we are readying the next season of our church, Denny is sharing his final thoughts with the church as lead pastor. This weekend, he shared one of his most passionate, heartfelt messages. The Holy Spirit is often seen as a denominational, uncomfortable topic that many have either veered away from or has motivated primarily the ministries of others. In Denny's eyes, he's not as much concerned with the these things as he is in the desire he wants our church to have for more of God's Spirit. We are witnessing history at River of Life as we watch the transition of leadership unfold; ultimately, the one who is leading the way is the Holy Spirit. Enjoy this message!

Healing is not a way that God rewards good behavior, but it is an expression of His heart for us, and a glimpse into what life without sin can look like.
