- Bildung
This week on the Death Pawsitive Podcast we talk to Brian Kondrath from Paws And Claws Aquamation, a full-service pet mortuary. Paws and Claws uses aquamation which is also known as alkaline hydrolysis. It is the same process that occurs as part of nature's progress when a pet is laid to rest in soil. They use a combination of water flow, temperature, and alkalinity to accelerate nature's process.
Aquamation is the most environmentally friendly method of cremation offered. It presents several environmental advantages over old-fashioned burial or flame cremation services. Overall, the end-to-end process uses 85% less energy than traditional flame cremation.
